XLWB Renault Master

This customer intended to self-convert their van, but due to work commitments, they were not able to and called on Strathearn Camper Co for support to fully convert their van of their dreams

The brief was to build a three berth Campervan with the ability to add a third traveling seat when required. They required a self contained van with full off grid capability that could comfortably travel across Europe. Additionally the owner was over six feet tall which dictated the install of a full size double bed at least 6`4`` in length. Uniquely this van had no gas - all heating, hot water and cooking was via a diesel fuel source.

  • Full sized bench seat which creates a single bed when drivers swivel seat is swiveled to the rear

  • Full sized fixed double bed 

  • Storage space throughout with a massive garage under the bed to provide storage space for bikes etc

BUILD DETAILS

  • Full off grid capability

  • 12v electrical system, charging via 3 sources

    • Via vehicle alternator whils driving

    • Via solar (total of 350w)

    • Via hook up when on site

  • 2 x 200ah Renogy Lithium batteries

  • 2000w Inverter system with UPS allowing use of 240v equipment whilst off grid, also connected to 240v ring main 

  • 240v Hook up point

  • 12v mood lighting throughout

  • Usb and 12v chagrin points throughout

  • All electrics managed by Sargent motorhome electrical management system

  • 6kw diesel combi heater, digitally controlled hot air heating and 20l hot water boiler system, BT enabled
